I just realized it's been a while since I wrote anything and thought ya'll all would be THRILLED to know about my life. Ha! This semester has been great so far. God has already taught me a lot and has been so good. Tonight I'm going to hang out with 2 fantastic HPU grads who go to the seminary. I'm a little excited. We are going to explore the wonder that is the newly opened Sprouts! Basically God has blessed me with some incredible friendships. Not only here at seminary, but in life in general. Here are some things I love about my friends: (in no particular order)
ELW eats a bagel and thinks of me. I love being a food reminder.
Their passion for God.
Their willingness to take great RISKS for God.
Em and I make some awesome music videos (which has resulted in a soccer match showdown Saturday with 2 Brazilians. World Cup 2014!!!!)
How we laugh so hard it hurts
The ease with which we discuss the Bible and our relationships with God
Passion for quality hummus (emphasis on quality)
Nerf gun wars that leave your hands bruised and battered.
Just the overall encouragement
And now to get real Southern Baptist-I love living life with these girls!!!!

Crazy Week Back
This has been a crazy first week back at seminary! I have....
-moved into my dorm room (a bedless, deskless, furnitureless void haha)
-taken a Music Missions class (which was awesome)
-been in Mrs. Whiteland's wedding (I'm trying to help myself adjust by referring to her that way lol)
-tried to figure out a schedule
-realized how close the missionary dream is (then I freaked out)
I would really appreciate your prayers as I try to seek God's will. Hopefully I have finally learned to seek Him and not the answer. I'm hoping a trip home this weekend and a talk with my parents will help.
True to form I have been BOMBARDED with "Do not be anxious..." "Do NOT be anxious" "DO NOT BE ANXIOUS" Everywhere. This has been in my quiet time and in the book I'm reading. You think I would learn by now. Not so much. Thankfully I have time. It's just that the whole process of actually becoming a missionary kind of terrifies/excites me all at once. Leaning more on the terrified side actually. Here is a verse that always seems to pop up at just the right time. It is so simple but true.
"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Ps. 27:14
My poor little heart needs strength!!!
