One of my best friends recently returned from India and brought me back a SARI for Christmas. (If you can't tell I'm a little excited). Since I can't wear a sari at seminary I'm going to use it as a drape for my windows in the dorm. It seems such a waste to just let it sit folded in my room. The fabric is so pretty! My room will feel so multicultural next semester! I went to Brownwood this weekend to see some friends and of course we went to Taco Bell. Traditions must be kept! I had just gotten the sari and so we decided to wrap me up in it. I totally ordered my bean burritos wearing a sari in Brownwood, Texas. They need culture! When I got home, I showed my mom the fabric and attempted to show her what it is supposed to look like. After agreeing that the sari was gorgeous we tried to fold it up so that it wouldn't get wrinkled. That was hilarious. How many Americans does it take to fold a sari? There's a lot of fabric involved. Finally it ended with my mom saying, "I guess it's a good thing I wasn't born in India!"
It has been really nice being home! I guess this is the 3rd day since I've been home. Last night we all watched "Home Alone" together. It's a classic! Is it bad that it always makes me think of Eryn? haha. "Is this toothbrush approved my the American Dental Association?" That part makes me laugh. Speaking of toothbrush, I went to the dentist yesterday. Blah. My teeth always hurt after they clean them. I also have a cold so my teeth are POUNDING.
